When a Super Administrator creates and provisions a customer, partner, distributor, or reseller account, the administrator from the respective side (usually referred to as system administrator) can manage user accounts and services within their scope, based on the privileges assigned.

Customer

When a Super Administrator creates and provisions a customer account, the administrator from the customer side (usually referred to as system administrator) can manage user accounts within their scope, based on the privileges assigned. Key operations include:
  • Adding and managing user accounts (also known as archive accounts) within the organization.
  • Managing administrative roles (built-in and custom) and user permissions within the organization.
  • Configuring archive collectors to ingest communications.
  • Configuring retention policies for archived content.
  • Configuring authentication settings for platform access.
  • Viewing reports and notifications within their organization.
  • Access is limited to their own organization; they cannot view or manage accounts in other organizations.

Partner

When a Super Administrator creates and provisions a partner account, the administrator from the partner side (usually referred to as system administrator) can manage user accounts and subscriptions within their scope, based on the privileges assigned. Key operations include:
  • Creating and managing customers, partners, and customers for partners, if such privileges are assigned.
  • Adding new administrator accounts for their customers, partners, and customers for partners.
  • Viewing and managing subscriptions and usage of their customers, partners, and customers for partners.
  • Viewing reports and notifications of their customers, partners, and customers for partners.
  • Access is limited to their customers, partners, and customers for partners; they cannot access accounts outside their scope.

Distributor

The Distributor Administrator is a distribution partner who purchases Arctera Unified Platform licenses from Arctera and distributes them through Resellers. Key operations include:
  • Onboarding and managing Reseller accounts under their distribution umbrella.
  • Viewing and exporting usage data across Resellers and their end-customer organizations.

Reseller

The Reseller Administrator purchases Arctera Unified Platform licenses either through a Distributor or directly from Arctera, and sells them to end-customer organizations. Key operations include:
  • Creating and managing customer organization accounts assigned to their reseller account.
  • Viewing and exporting usage data for their end-customer organizations.
  • Has no visibility into the Distributor tier above them or into other Resellers within the same distribution network.
