About API app registration

The API App Registration feature enables Management Console Administrators to register API apps and manage the authentication credentials required by these apps to access Arctera APIs. This feature provides a structured mechanism to manage API apps and their associated client secrets, SSL certificates, and SSO certificates. It helps reduce manual intervention in credential management, especially in environments where certificates require frequent renewal.

Only users assigned the Management Console Administrator role can view this feature in the left navigation pane of the Arctera Unified Platform Management Console.

Administrators can assign permissions to registered API apps and manage their authentication credentials by generating, viewing, and revoking certificates and secrets during the app registration process.
