AI Assistant is an AI-powered assistant integrated into Arctera Surveillance. It enables users to interact with the application to retrieve information and perform supported actions across selected modules.
To access AI Assistant
  1. Log in to Arctera Surveillance.
  2. Click the AI Assistant icon in the application banner.

When you hover over the icon, the tooltip Click to open AI Assistant is displayed. Clicking the icon opens the AI Assistant pane.
Prerequisites and Permissions
To use AI Assistant, the user must have the following application-level permissions:
  • Create Departments
  • Manage Department Users
Notes:
  • If the required permissions are not assigned, the AI Assistant icon is not visible.
  • If the required permissions are assigned but the feature is not enabled, the icon is visible but disabled.
  • If both the required permissions and the feature are enabled, the icon is active.
If the icon is visible but disabled, contact Arctera Technical Support to enable the feature.
Supported Modules and Actions
Currently, AI Assistant supports the following modules:
  • Departments
\- View department details
\- Open department
\- Close department
Note: Operations related to exception departments are not supported by AI Assistant.
  • Monitored Employees
\- View monitored employees
\- Add monitored employees
\- Remove monitored employees
Note: Users must be assigned the required department-level roles to perform any actions in the Monitored Employees module within a department.
  • Role Assignment
\- View roles
\- Add or remove users
\- Add or remove roles
Note: Users must be assigned the required department-level roles to perform any actions in the Role Assignment module within a department.
